King Soek Lee Meets South Korean President Moon Jae-in
As part of his imperial duties, King Soek Lee receives visitors from the highest level of the South Korean government. Here he is pictured exchanging gifts with current President Moon Jae-in. This picture was taken inside King Lee’s home in Jeonju in December of 2016 before Moon Jae-in became President of South Korea.

Born on January 24th, 1953, Moon studied law on a full scholarship at Kyung Hee University, but was expelled after organizing a student protest. After that, he was part of the South Korean special forces. Following his military service, Moon decided to take the bar exam and later entered private practice.
President Moon was a notable human rights lawyer before entering into politics later in life. President Moon was elected to the South Korean Presidency On May 10th, 2017, replacing acting President Hwang Kyo-ahn. During his time as president, Moon has met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un twice. President Moon will serve as president until his term ends in 2022.
